Description

An easy crocheted cowl which features treble crochet stitches in a ‘corner to corner’ technique.
Unlike most crochet projects, which are worked either in rows or in the round, Sarsen starts in one corner with a crocheted square. Further squares are added on to build up a triangular-shaped piece of fabric, which looks like a series of steps.
Having reached the required width the work continues in diagonal rows until the length of the cowl has been worked. At this point the work is systematically decreased, ending with just one square.
This creates a rectangular piece of crochet with an attractive textured effect on both sides, making the fabric reversible. The cowl is finished by stitching the two short sides together.
