Professional Finishing Techniques

Evening Workshop

This Workshop will help ensure that your finished knitting project looks its very best and reflects the time and enthusiasm you put into making it.

The evening covers…

  • Blocking and pressing
  • Sewing up seams
  • Picking up stitches to make neck- and button-bands
  • Making horizontal and vertical buttonholes.

Materials: If you have a project that you have knitted and is waiting to be finished, please bring it along on the evening, but this is by no means essential.

You will need to bring a bodkin or large-eyed darning or tapestry needles for sewing up, and a small pair of scissors would be helpful.
